I barely had some green before the thirty minutes was up and I cheered in joy. Which takes a long time: especially for a videogame.
But I hadn't sown anything in the second free field, so when I had two empty fields - I had to wait for them both to grow whatever I had sown on them. You take the trailer to sell the grain, or empty it into your silos, then return and carry on. Yes there was a guide, but I figured it couldn't be that hard, so skipped it. You harvest the one full field, then about halfway through your combine is full, so you use your tractor to find the trailer and collect the grain/wheat/chaff/whatever it harvests. It starts you off with a combine harvester, a tractor and a trailer. If actors can do it, so can I! Well, I can't.
I figured it would be easy - they do it in Emmerdale all the time! At least they did the last time I watched it. Perhaps host a fox hunting party!įarming. Drive a tractor, run over some crops in a combine harvester, murder thousands of field mice and insects… General farming, right? Maybe milk a cow, rebuild a fence or chase kids away from my fields with a shotgun. Will I find something new to love? Will I find something new to despise? I'll take a full half hour, no matter how bad it gets or how badly I do, to see if this is the game for me.
